Crosswinds marina pump.
Crosswinds also owns and operates a small marina. They were having major issues with algae and seaweed buildup in the marina. During warmer temperatures, the stagnant water in the marina allowed algae to bloom out of control. We procured and installed a submersible pump to install in the marina, and put piping in the ground from the pump back onto the lake shore. When in operation, this pump moves water from the marina back to the lake, allowing fresh water into the marina and preventing stagnation. Power for the pump was taken from a nearby electric panel and run through existing conduits, and a timer to control the pump was put in. This pump is in service from May through October and has greatly reduced algae and seaweed problems.
